Food was good, drinks were amazing. I love how they have a numbering system for their drafts. Bartenders were amazing and helpful. But what earned this place a 5 star from me, was they told the band to turn it down. It blows my mind how many places believe louder is better. It's unpleasant having to yell to talk to the people I came with, or having to yell to get my order. But not this place, the bartenders cared more about the money paying patrons than they did the annoyingly loud band. Once they turned down the volume, both the band, and my experience here, greatly improved. I normally don't ding a location for loud music, but because of this place and how they showed a bartender can have more say in the atmosphere, I absolutely will judge a place on the band's performance. Awesome place, will be returning next vacation to New Bern.
This place is amazing and they respect getting scammers off the premises. Great food and good vibes !
Came here for dueling pianos a month or so ago with my daughter. They were funny and entertaining. Drink prices were reasonable too. The question i was wondering is that they ask if you're there to see the banjos because there is a cover for them but they are in the same room as the bar. If you say no, do you get charged?
It's 80 degrees in November and I really don't understand how that's possible. So it's time to find an inside spot with air conditioning and I landed here. Tap That is a huge space, almost barn-sized. Inside seating, outside seating, bar, tables, a stage, and a dozen or so beers on tap. Power outlets all along the walls and comfy seating. I enjoyed my ice cold drink and learned that Tap That does not have a wifi. Completely understandable that places want folks to have fun with each other and not be staring into their phones. I get that, but, uh, I'm on my own this evening and literally staring into my phone. Thankfully, I have a hotspot and a lot of data remaining for this month. All good. Loved the atmosphere, service was great. The hand made Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls were the bomb and the wings were juicy with the perfect crisp!
